Just got an email from EvaRuth's Bakery, saying that they would have to delay the opening of the Johnston store. I'm at their Middletown location at least twice a week, so I'll keep you posted as to when they will open at their new location on Hartford Avenue in Johnston, at the site of the former Sugarbird Bakery.

Speaking of Sugarbird, have you heard anything about them? Among other things, I miss the trail mix cookies. I don't think anyone else around here makes "oatmeal-like" cookies with quinoa flakes. I'm going to have to start experimenting in the kitchen. Those had such a great texture :)
I was at EvaRuth's today, and they told me that they were problems with the former Sugarbird location, so they are searching for an alternate location. I haven't heard a peep (pun intended) from Sugarbird. It appears that they've taken their FB page down as well. I'll ask EvaRuth is they make any cookies similar to the trail mix ones. Have you checked with A&J in Cranston? He has a wide variety of cookies. I was jonesing for his pumpkin pizzelles just today...
